In 2014, I began my career servicing and repairing household appliances. This role involved diagnosing faults, replacing or repairing parts, and occasionally condemning equipment. Working both in a workshop and in customers’ homes, I developed strong problem-solving skills and provided excellent customer service. I also delivered and installed appliances like fridges and washing machines, enjoying the variety and interaction that came with working in different homes.In 2016, I transitioned to metal fabrication and manufacturing, earning my NVQ Level 2 in Engineering Operations. I gained expertise in lean manufacturing and the 5S principles, which taught me the importance of efficiency and organization. I operated specialized equipment such as the LDV Delta to punch sheet metal into precise designs and the Bystronic press brake to fold metal into simple angles. My tasks included drilling, tapping, spot welding, and inserting components like studs and hank bushes. I also prepared metal for powder coat painting, focusing on detail-oriented processes like degreasing and plugging.By 2018, I entered electronic assembly, refining skills in soldering, panel wiring, and system assembly. I learned to operate SMT pick-and-place machines, set up CNC routers, and perform 3D printing. Additionally, I created weekly plans, drafted route cards, and trained team members on various equipment. My role also included programming, testing, repair, and assembly for T/H PCP systems.In January 2024, I took on the role of Maintenance Manager at Langford Park Care Homes.
