I am a recently graduate from Trinity University in San Antonio. I majored in Business Analytics & Technology with minors in Data Science and Human Communication. Through my experiences in analytics—academic studies, independent projects and entrepreneurship—I have seen firsthand the potential of AI and have developed a passion for working with these models to implement the insights generated. In 2022, I teamed with three classmates to create Recap Budget Inc., a fintech AI startup that won the $25K grand prize in Trinity University’s Stumberg New Venture Competition. We developed an app that identifies patterns in a user’s spending habits and creates challenges to help the user improve those habits via generative AI. Currently, we’re in BETA, collecting data from early testers and improving both the app and models. By the end of the year, we hope to move away from OpenAI and begin hosting our own cross-platform large language model that’s custom built on specifically tailored financial data sets. People inherently struggle to comprehend what data actually represents. But my training and real-world experience enable me to not only understand the data, but also effectively communicate those insights to others. I look forward to pursuing a career in management consulting and leveraging my skills to help client companies achieve their business goals.
