About Max Jacob
I'm the founder of a 501(c)(3) string orchestra, a music director, a bassist, and passionate about riding bicycles anywhere and everywhere. I would rather learn and innovate than wait for opportunities to fall into my lap. When I realized I loved conductorless string orchestras while studying at the Manhattan School of Music, I took the opportunity to create Shattered Glass; An ensemble that I grew into a $50,000 non-profit organization with Carnegie Hall performances and domestic touring. Managing the 18-person team, fundraising and contract negotiations, organizing tours, and balancing the hierarchy of a conductorless orchestra has taught me the values of clear and concise communication and proactive organization. Bicycles are the passion that round out my life. Whether I'm going elbow to elbow in a crit race, party pace on a gravel bike packing trip, or meeting new folks on a coffee ride I'm always happy to be on two wheels.
