Stomach contents of fish were analyzed by running contents over different sized sieves. Vertebrate prey species were identified using anatomical characteristics, otoliths, and vertebrae. Invertebrate prey species were identified using anatomical characteristics and beak anatomy. • Identified prey species using reference guides and cataloged species to the lowest possible taxon.• Aided in developing an ecosystem-based approach to sustainably manage and monitor highly migratory species.• Maintained accurate and organized datasheets in Microsoft Excel.

• Participated on a project aimed at aging fish to identify metrics necessary for rebuilding and maximizing reef fisheries in the tropical pacific. • Helped to process and identify stomach/otolith samples of various fish species including snappers, grouper, parrotfish, damselfish, and tangs collected from the tropical pacific. • Created maps of coral reefs surrounding pacific islands using ArcGIS.• Worked with photoshop to identify coral recruits/juveniles within a section of a coral reef on Palmyra Atoll.
