Operations Officer
CurrentDuties: Chief of Operations for the 1st Armored Division: consisting of 6 Brigade-size and numerous subordinate elements, a force totaling more than 30,000 Soldiers and civilians; supporting the senior mission commander, Fort Bliss, Texas. Responsible for maintaining a 24/7/365 Division Operations Center providing a Common Operational Picture for the Commanding General & Staff for both OCONUS and CONUS activities, enabling effective Mission Command on a global scale. Assists the Division G-3 in integrating all Division / Ft. Bliss elements in order to accomplish assigned division missions. Assists in planning, preparing, and executing pre and post mobilization training for USAR, ARNG, as well as joint units from the United States Air Force, United States Marine Corps, and United States Navy. Responsible for mentoring and coaching three officers and 5 non-commissioned officers in the current operations shop.Duties: Chief of Current Operations for CENTCOM Forward – Jordan (CF-J); a combined- joint organization of 270+ Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen, DoD civilians and Coalition LNOs; supporting the Deputy Commanding General, US ARCENT and stationed in Amman, Jordan. Responsible for maintaining a 24/7/365 Combined Operations Intelligence Center providing a Common Operational Picture for the Commanding General & Staff for all DoD activities in Jordan, thus enabling effective Mission Command. Assists the CF-J3 in integrating all elements in order to accomplish assigned missions. Assists in planning & preparing contingency plans for the defense of Jordan and assisting Jordanian Armed Forces in Humanitarian Assistance missions. Responsible for mentoring and coaching four joint officers and four joint senior non-commissioned officers in the current operations cell.
