I am a machine learning scientist in the Machine Learning Center of Excellence at JP Morgan Chase. I was previously a Senior Research Engineer in Analytics and Machine Intelligence at Raytheon BBN Technologies where I worked primarily on text problems, including semantic search, machine translation, summarization, and question answering. Prior to that I was a Research Scientist at Amazon, where I worked on multilingual question-answering systems for customer service chat applications.I received my PhD in Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (2022), as well as my MS in Computer Science in 2021. My dissertation work focused on the relationship between machine learning and the types of statistical learning observed in humans, with a particular focus on phonology.
