I have a geotechnical engineering background but work primarily on mine reclamation, mine sustainability, and mine cost closure quantity estimation. Additionally I model tailing deposition, analyze seepage, and slope stability. I have completed closure cost estimates for multiple mines and am proficient in estimating various mine-related quantities (i.e. regrade volumes, cut/fill volumes, etc.), analyzing CPT/LPT data, and designing different aspects incorporated in mines. I have experience in drafting proposals, preparing final reports, and compiling/reducing data from multiple people in multiple locations.

I primary work on creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in order to attempt to standardize the company. Prior to creating an SOP, I was required to become certified in the specific task or machine that the SOP was concerned with. The machines and equipment that I became certified in was for both surface and underground at the mine site.

I logged borings, on-site, with specific emphasis on soil classification and lithological determination. I was involved in determining which material samples should be tested and which tests should be performed. I performed QA/QC on soil compaction and moisture content, concrete, and rebar. I became a certified as a field technician and certified in handling/operating a nuclear gauge.
