Tax is complex, varied and makes most people shriek in horror and run the other way. I am one of those odd people who are passionate about Tax. I have built a specialist Operational Tax Client Service team from the ground up. The team covered International Withholding tax, Tax Compliance (FATCA, CDOT and CRS) and Client Service for tax-related matters. At BNY Mellon I work with clients to understand the complexity of tax change and with the EMEA Digital Council as the Scotland Country Digital Lead to assist in the Digitisation of our business. Working on DLT/Blockchain and tokenisation in the Withholding Tax Space.I have expansive interests which cover almost everything from Excel VBA to Russian literature and attempt to better myself each day. I am interested in FinTech and RegTech as well as all other things tech- especially if linked to tax. I speak mother-tongue German too (and am half-German) and can read most European languages.Any opinions expressed are my own.
