Assigned to lead on a nationally scoped application with multi-year scope of work. Collaborated with a team of UI/UX developers to understand the applications users, and their interpretation of how best to fulfill it. Designed the implementation from the ground up and led a team of developers to deliver user-centric goals. Over the 3-year scope of work, the team delivered all milestones on time and beyond client expectations. Initial development on the application has been finished and is now in technical review by FEMA. This work spun off multiple side projects with FEMA and led one of them. Inherited software lead tasks for application with high-maintenance costs and burnout rates. Identified areas of the application for additional unit testing, documentation, and centralization that improved consistency of app behavior and scope scalability. Led developers to build a modular map UI with a centralized event flow, component-based UI, and promise-based server API. Designed and delivered the software architecture for a large-scale web application. Designed a lossless compression specification for US County and Census Tract IDs in a URL and implemented an algorithm that met spec at 70-90% character length efficiency. Oversaw application deployment to AWS and Azure for multiple concurrent projects. Led 508 compliance for enhanced accessibility of all audiences in web applications. Optimized maintainability of inherited legacy applications through documentation and unified their established style. Assessed and improved responsive behavior limitations in existing applications. Collaborated with a team of developers to build components with Angular and Node.js.

Developed a game from start to finish (https://www.hiveworkshop.com/threads/escape-dream-world-v1-3.320654/).Localized the game’s text in 9 languages using Google sheets, Google Translate, and community support.Created physics-based gameplay that extends Warcraft III’s pathing system; implemented a graph-based location system that locates a player’s current position and progress towards non-linear destinations.

Taught robotics and Minecraft modding to high schoolers in a fun and interactive environment.

Introduced students to common data structures implementations and potential uses. Used realistic situations to enhance students motivation and learning retention and supported students in improving their grades in the course.
