Provide for a safe and secure environment along with good Customer Service for the patients, visitors, and employees of a large urban Medical Center. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Motorized patrol of all campus parking lots, roadways; and parking garages; foot patrol of interior hallways, offices, and patient floors; responding to calls for service; crowd control; employee escorts, and incident documentation. Must posses a working knowledge of all Department computer equipment to include desktop PC's; access control computers; and the fire control systems. Other qualifications needed include good observation skills; interviewing skills; patrol tactics; and the ability to communicate both orally and in writing. The ability to effectively interact with persons of various social, ethnic, and racial backgrounds is paramount thus working toward a common solution to effect problem solving.
