My expertise is focused on developing practical solutions for complex engineering problems. Whether this be for product development, industrial machinery and equipment, or building structural systems, the common theme is applying my vast engineering design knowledge and working with the customer to deliver the optimal result for them. I have a proven working history of delivering client-driven solutions for over 8 years across New Zealand, Australia and Germany.Graduating with a mechanical engineering degree in Christchurch, New Zealand during a lot of seismic activity, I quickly became interested in earthquake resilience for building structural systems, machinery and industrial plant/equipment. This led to the development of my unique skill-set, becoming a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and additionally an International Professional Engineer (IntPE(NZ)) with Engineering New Zealand in both mechanical and structural engineering design.Being a young professional, I am extremely passionate about technology enabled engineering. As an engineering community, I believe we must strive for optimised solutions which can be achieved through simulation (FEA/FEM) and parametric design. Having worked a lot with traditional calculation methods and validation to standards/codes, I can say that engineering simulation can achieve more robust, safer, and cost-effective solutions compared to traditional methods. This passion for new technology has also been validated through my Professional Simulation Engineer (PSE) accreditation with the internationally recognised organisation, NAFEMS. My niche experience can help deliver solutions for complex problems, where traditional methods are not fit for purpose.Software knowledge: MS suite, G suite, ANSYS, Spaceclaim, Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, Dlubal RSTAB/RFEM.Key project/service types: product development, industrial plant design, conveyor systems, pressure vessels, cranes & lifting equipment, bulk storage tanks, industrial platforms/walkways, steel/aluminium structures, facades, suspended ceilings & internal partitions.
