As the Founder and Principal Educator at EDUMAX, my personal teaching odyssey has been as diverse and enriching as it has been successful. With a dedicated focus on high-impact, personalized education, I've had the privilege of mentoring over 40 students from various academic stages, ranging from year 6 to year 12. My expertise spans a gamut of subjects including Mathematics, Chemistry, English, and Biology, tailored to align with prestigious curriculums such as HSC, QLD OP, and the International Baccalaureate (IB). Under my guidance, students have not only secured places in selective schools and gifted programs but have also transcended expectations, consistently elevating their performance by at least two grade boundaries. The journey at EDUMAX is more than just learning—it's a transformative experience where students achieve their personal best and develop a robust foundation for lifelong academic and professional success.

My tenure as a Medical Receptionist demands a seamless blend of hospitality and operational acumen. Stationed at the heart of the clinic, I am often the first touchpoint for individuals seeking care—a position I approach with a dedication to warmth and professionalism. My role stretches beyond mere greetings, evolving into a crucial element of the patient experience, as I ensure each individual leaves with a positive impression, fostering a sense of community and continuity.In my commitment to excellence, I have mastered an array of medical software platforms, including Halaxy, Cliniko, Best Practice, and HotDoc, harnessing these tools to enhance patient engagement and streamline administrative efficiency. My interactions are not limited to general practice but extend to a diverse spectrum of specialists—from Podiatrists and Psychologists to Physiotherapists and Lactation Consultants—cultivating a robust understanding of the multifaceted realms of healthcare.The essence of a medical receptionist's role is underpinned by emotional intelligence and operational precision, navigating the intricacies of patient care coordination with dexterity. It demands an unerring ability to multitask under pressure, maintaining accuracy and empathy even in the clinic's most bustling moments. My journey in this role has been as enriching as it has been challenging, sharpening my skills to become not just a face at the front desk, but a steadfast anchor of support for both patients and healthcare providers alike.

While at Fraser's GAMSAT, I spearheaded a philanthropic initiative known as the Fraser's DARE program—a pro bono research project aimed at dismantling barriers to medical education for students from underprivileged, indigenous, and rural backgrounds. This endeavor sought to evaluate the viability of instituting a concessionary scheme that would facilitate financial endorsements, thereby offering these students subsidized entry into Fraser's esteemed medical tuition programs.To gauge the potential success and impact of this initiative, I engaged in consultations with an array of medical professionals, including specialists and physicians. The insights gained were instrumental in assessing market interest and the technical practicalities required to bring this project to fruition. This research served as a foundational step toward cultivating more inclusive rural outreach programs, reinforcing Fraser's commitment to fostering educational equity in the medical field and driving forward the mission of equalizing medical outcomes and learning opportunities across diverse communities.

Rebbeck Consulting has given me the opportunity to both engage and interrogate the healthcare commissioning employed by the Australian government. I have been involved in conducting market share analysis of grant funding for primary health networks and exploring the various distributions PHN grants are funnelled into. This task involved the analysis of big data (sets) using R programming language and powerBI statistical software. I have also been tasked with educational material development - namely, the Rebbeck Quality Guidelines, a framework that is cycled with Rebbeck internal staff for quality training. Supplementary roles include conducting talent acquisition and lawyer screening, this involved conducting an extensive and rigorous exploration of the commercial law market to find solicitors experienced in dealings with consulting firms and familiar with government regulations specific to healthcare.

Lab Description: Why do our bodies decline as we grow old? Why does ageing cause disease? Can we slow aging or even reverse it? The answer to these questions underlies nearly all non-communicable disease process. The past two decade have seen an explosion in understanding the biology of ageing. By tackling these questions, we aim to develop medicines that may one day prevent and/or treat diseases of old age, with a single therapy. Our ultimate goal is to allow people to live healthier, disease-free lives.We focus on genes (e.g. sirtuins) and small molecules (e.g. NAD+ agonists) that mimic exercise and calorie restriction, a diet that slows the pace of aging in animals. We use mouse models to test genes and small molecules for their ability to protect against common age-related diseases such as cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular disease, infertility, and type II diabetes. We also look at strategies to slow or reverse the pace of accelerated ageing that affects cancer survivors, who suffer the long-lasting side effects of chemotherapy treatment. At the cellular level we study cellular metabolism, mitochondrial function, neuroprotection, cellular senescence and transposon activity. Expertise in the lab ranges from enzymology and biochemistry, using model systems including C. elegans, rodents and cell based studies.

Student Representative/Ambassador to UNSW's Phar2011 Course on Pharmacology and Toxicology, roles including the liaising between the student and teaching body. Essentially the role entails keeping well up to date with work, and help my peers and students achieve this too!

In my capacity as Mentor and Assistant Project Coordinator for UNSW Heroes, I played an instrumental role in enriching the academic and social journey of incoming UNSW students. My commitment involved the stewardship of group projects and the meticulous critique of proposals, fostering an environment where critical thinking and collaboration could flourish. Engaging daily with the course participants, I was not only a guide but also a learner, gaining insights alongside them as they navigated their university adventure.Serving on the administrative team, I was tasked with the creative design and oversight of group activities, ensuring that they were educational, engaging, and conducive to team building. This responsibility extended to liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that the program's operations were seamless and that the activities resonated with the goals of the Heroes initiative. It was a privilege to contribute to a program that has a profound impact on the personal and professional development of the students at UNSW.

Given the opportunity as the treasurer, my role included the management of corporate liquidity, investments, and all related matters to the company's financial activities; these included matters of borrowing needs, funding, and storage of assets. During this period of being part of LEO's executive team, participation and management of activities and projects developed my leadership, organizational and social skills. As finances was a new field for me, the experience increased my self-esteem and allowed for personal growth as I was made to meet challenges and accept critical responsibilities.

The course helped me develop the skills in gathering and assessing evidence, constructing arguments or interpretation, and presenting findings in an effective way.
