Captain And Sailing InstructorSv Fluenta Aug 2012 - Jan 2020Pacific OceanA mid-career sabbatical sailing adventure with my family of five. We refurbished an old boat in Mexico and then sailed to the South Pacific and Micronesia before returning to North America via the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. Over seven years we have sailed sufficient miles to almost circle the globe twice and have visited some 14 countries. This adventure has a been a good test of resilience, planning and self-reliance as we traveled many miles in often very remote locations.
