I joined the United States Navy straight out of high school. While in the military I worked with various types of communications equipment with an amphibious assault task group. My responsibilities Upon the completion of my enlistment I left the military and went to school to obtain certification in computer management. I used the knowledge that I had obtained in the military as well as the certification to work as a computer operator working with mainframe computers. My responsibilities included updating documentation, monitoring daily billing programs, supervising daily operations, and ensuring that all tasks were completed.Later in my career in the data processing field, I decided to challenge myself and earn my degree in telecommunications management. Upon graduating I accepted a position as an operations engineer in accessing commercial satellites. My responsibilities included trouble shooting satellite network related issues, tracking and monitoring satellite locations, both nationally and internationally. After relocating from the west coast to the mid-west, I was hired to as an engineer to work at a major telecom company. My responsibilities included the engineering of local and long distant land lines. The last project I worked on was re-routing existing land lines in order to decrease our inventory and use our equipment more efficiently.Most recently I had the opportunity to work with the State of Illinois as an Investigator in the Department of Human Rights. I am a highly motivated and hard working individual who enjoys working with others and working alone when needed. I am also very resilient when it comes to problem solving and very dedicated to finding a solution. I am a proactive, self starter with a positive attitude and enjoy sharing with others what I have learned as well as learning new processes.I have ITIL certification and Lean 6 Sigma certification. I am also proficient in Microsoft products
