My role in the project is to help replicate Professor McCrary's initial SAS analysis in Python for verification and bench-marking purposes.I first created a qualitative guide of SAS code used to merge securities pricing data from The Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP) to data from the NASDAQ and NYSE’s Trade and Quote (TAQ) database.I wrote code to conduct CRSP/TAQ merge in Python, primarily using the pandas and numpy libraries. -
