Specialised in trading refurbishment and extensions projects, I worked with the organisation's external consultants as well as in house teams (Visual, Interior, Construction and Legal team).My role consisted of providing preliminary estimates, cost plans, feasibility studies and risk registers for refurbishment and extension projects to the Lease Managers. This enabled them to prepare the profit and loss estimates that would determine a project's viability before presenting to the Executives board.Once the project was approved I negotiated the demarcation lists and shell specification documents with the landlords' project team to secure the technical items agreed in the Head of Terms for the LTAs sign off.I managed the preparation of schedules of works and assessed competitive tenders received, making reports and recommendations. I reviewed contract documentation, ensuring compliance with the project brief, time-scale and budget estimates, as well as all relevant legislation, regulations and policies such as the British standards and H&S.I have created and formalised standards and specifications to follow for all refurbishment projects. I also worked on developing the LEAN philosophy for all projects to be more efficient and reduce time on site.Achievements: Created a strategy to ensure that building works consider the shopping experience and are therefore less disruptive to the customers. I shared this strategy with the French, Spanish, Dutch and Japanese Construction teams. Developed the LEAN methodology for refurbishment works.

Based on the building site, I partnered with the Project Manager to complete the final stages of (re-)opening a store.My role was to ease the handover from the main contractors to the store team, and organise the logistics of the non-commercial and commercial goods coming into and moving around the store. I was responsible for writing down the snag list on post-completion day and laying the interior for the visual team. I was the main point of contact in store for all stakeholders.Achievements:- During these 3 years I worked all around UK and Ireland and achieved 12 store-openings and 3 refurbishment projects.- After the 2 first years, I was the driving force behind expanding the team, taking on a supervising role and training up site coordinators. I developed a training package for the new employees and the team grew from 5 to 16 site coordinators in a short time.- The team was still existing when I left, the training package had developed considerably and was being shared with other H&M teams globally. A member of the team went to share the knowledge in Oceania and Asia.
