I help companies create cultures of curiosity. Driven by a mission to help people love the work they do, I’ve focused my efforts on ensuring that frontline workers feel heard and valued. As Co-founder and CEO of WorkHound, I lead a team committed to revolutionizing how companies listen to their workforces. Using unfiltered worker feedback, WorkHound helps leaders create a culture of transparency and continuous improvement, paving the way for happier, more engaged workforces. Some of our partners have reduced turnover by as much as 50%, and others have retained 1,000+ workers since launching WorkHound. These results prove the transformative value of worker feedback and the power of prioritizing workplace culture. In addition to helping companies improve culture and retain top talent, WorkHound also publishes a popular annual Trends Report that uses feedback data to offer in-depth analysis, key industry insights, and emerging trends in frontline work. This comprehensive publication informs leaders and industry analysts alike, helping guide the development of better workplaces and set new benchmarks for employee engagement and retention. By prioritizing workers' voices, my team and I are committed to helping companies build stronger, more resilient workplaces where workforces thrive and businesses succeed. WorkHound is here to help leaders like you build stronger, more resilient teams. If you’re committed to driving positive change in your workplace, reach out. I’d love to hear what challenges you’re facing and how we can partner to solve them.

Ceo / Co-FounderWorkhound Jun 2015 - PresentChattanooga, Tennessee, UsIn 2015, my business partner Andrew Kirpalani and I founded WorkHound, setting out to give the trucking industry — where the average driver turnover rate is a shocking 95% — a better way of communicating. Today, I’m incredibly proud to say that WorkHound is used by thousands of frontline workers and their employers as a way of building trust and solving problems. How We Got Here:• 2015: Founded by Max Farrell and Andrew Kirpalani, WorkHound opens its flagship office in Des Moines, IA, and signs its first customer in the trucking industry.• 2016: Operations expand with a second office in Chattanooga, TN. The company begins serving a growing number of trucking companies.• 2017: Using data from workforce feedback, we publish the first edition of the Annual Trends in Trucking Report, establishing WorkHound as a thought leader in workforce analytics and trends.• 2019: Secured $1.5 million in seed funding to fuel growth and innovation. WorkHound was also named Startup of the Year in Chattanooga, TN, solidifying its reputation as an industry disruptor.• 2020: Operations expand again, this time internationally with a successful launch in Canada, bringing WorkHound’s solutions to new markets outside the U.S.• 2022: Secured Series A funding, accelerating growth and product development. WorkHound makes its debut on the Inc. 5000 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies.• 2023: WorkHound is recognized as one of the Fastest Growing Companies by the Financial Times and achieves back-to-back appearances on the Inc. 5000 List.• 2024: Launched the game-changing Two-Way Chat feature and enhanced analytics, further improving communication and insights between workers and employers. Co-CreatorDsmhack Mar 2014 - Jun 2016In Des Moines, Iowa a group of tech professionals and myself created a 48-hour charity hackathon that connected nonprofit organizations with more than 80 employees from 15 different enterprise and startup companies to solve the tech problems of the nonprofits. We have run this experience twice. The result: 19 nonprofits projects had their biggest technical needs solved in 2 days with more than $200,000 of in-kind services fueling the change. The employees learned new skills, built relationships with great nonprofits and created game changing results for organizations that are always in go-mode.This experience created a new model for how nonprofits and curious minds can collaborate to spark change in any community and create a craving for doing good, not just doing.I facilitate these experiences and work with the core organizing team to bring the hackathon to life. -
