As the California Regional Program Manager of the Healthy Food in Health Care program at Health Care Without Harm (HCWH), I manage, plan, and execute projects and initiatives that aim to transform the regional food system into one that is equitable, safeguards and restores the environment, and that enables community health and wealth, by leveraging health care institutional procurement and investments. I have a Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics, with a focus on Integrative Medicine, from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. I have over seven years of experience in the fields of health, climate, and social justice. I have also acquired multiple certifications and skills in restorative practices, health coaching, and functional training. I am an experienced project and program manager who is passionate about creating a healthier and more sustainable world for all, by leveraging my health and sciences background, climate policy expertise, and integrative thinking abilities. I have developed and implemented effective strategies to influence policy, mobilize stakeholders, and build coalitions across diverse sectors and communities.
