For the last nine years I’ve worked as an independent consultant through Spindrift, primarily in technical roles for large scale eCommerce solutions using Oracle ATG Commerce. I’ve performed a mix of consulting gigs for their clients and work on their internal product development. My technical background is primarily Java based but I always jump at the opportunity to use other tools and am open to new opportunities. I’m quite familiar with front end web technologies but I’m more experienced and get more enjoyment out of working with back end systems.I like the dynamic of working in a small team and prefer an environment where you're given the opportunity to try new ideas and explore new technologies. I’ve recently gained both the AWS Associate Developer & Solution Architect Certifications and plan to carry on learning and developing in this area. To gain more practical experience in this area I put together a PoC for an API first CMS that let me explore more of these technoligies including: NodeJS, React, Docker, REST, AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc).
