During this internship, I worked on-site with the integrator's team, closely collaborating with their developers on data-related aspects, including data types, APIs, and database organization. As new constraints, such as mandatory service dates, emerged, I developed and implemented new algorithms to address these challenges. I also established a heuristic for evaluating solutions from parallel algorithms and enhanced tools for visualization and analysis to improve performance. Upon returning to France to complete my internship, I deployed these new algorithms into production, implementing various operational modes for long-term forecasting. At the very end, I revisited a mission focused on parameter exploration for multi-month forecasts using different algorithms. I relied on real data for this process, and where necessary, I generated synthetic client data, based on real data, to better align with and validate the proposed business plan.

During my fixed-term contract at Bincy, I advanced the vehicle routing optimization project by developing an algorithm to handle a new critical constraint: time windows. Building on the most promising approach from my previous internship, I implemented and deployed this enhanced solution into production. Additionally, I collaborated with the integrator's developers to refine data flows and improve data quality.

In the R&D team, I focused on the research and development of algorithms for vehicle routing optimization with constraints. This work aimed to validate the company's business plan by exploring various algorithms, configurations, and parameters. Additionally, I conducted data analysis and created synthetic client data, performed simulations with the algorithms, established KPIs, and developed a tool for visualizing the simulation results.
