Max Banach is an Eagle Scout and fourth-year Electrical Engineering & Economics dual major at the University of Florida. After hailing from Connecticut, Max attended Pine View School for the Gifted - ranked #1 Secondary School in Florida - where he developed his love for computers and electrical hardware. Besides his main academic majors, Max is pursuing a minor in Engineering Innovation and a certificate in Engineering Project Management: highlighting his desire to work as a Project Manager to leverage his soft and hard skill toolbox. He enjoys the cross-section between economic markets and electronics manufacturing as highlighted by recent global supply chain shortages. Max has built up nearly a year of full-time work experience across summer internships at Michelin, Motorola Solutions, and Samsung. Max loves collaborating with others in team-based project environments; his main goal is to help people come together to solve increasingly complex problems. In recognition of his leadership contributions to the Wertheim College of Engineering, Max was inducted into the Engineering Leadership Circle where membership is limited to 0.5% of the Engineering student body. Max has scaled his leadership experience into prominent roles in the Engineering Leadership Circle, UF Model UN, UF Student Senate, and the UF ECE Department. Max has successfully led cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments to success, as his teams in Model UN and engineering ethics have earned national recognition. Through Max's professional and extracurricular experiences, he has either worked on or managed initiatives with large budgets through timeline planning and resource allocation. In his free time, Max loves to read about international politics - something he learns about as an award-winning delegate on UF’s Model UN team.
