University Of Florida Student Government Senate company information, Employees & Contact Information

The purpose of the UF Student Government Senate is to closely represent the views and ideas of the more than 50,000 students at the University of Florida. Students are elected through two cycles: a fall election based off a student's residency and a spring election based off their credit standing and college. The UF Student Senate has five standing committees which are tasked with carrying out various tasks within the Senate, such as allocating funds, reviewing bills before they go to the floor and planning outreach events on campus. Each committee has nine members and are led by a chair who is selected by the Replacement and Agenda Committee, which is chaired by the Senate President Pro Tempore. Every week, each chair gives an update on the current events within the committee as they are pertinent to the Senate's inner-workings. Meetings are every Tuesday in the Senate Chamber at 7:30 PM during the Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters. Meetings are open to the public.
