Kamusta! My name is Maxine and I am in my third year at the University of Auckland studying a conjoint degree in Laws and Science with a major in Environmental Science. I am driven by my passion for people, the environment, and advocacy. I love coffee, travelling, and watching movies. I am a Professional Development Co-Lead executive for Rainbow Business and Rainbow Law where I strive to uplift students in their critical stage of learning. I believe in the capacities of grassroots organisations and empowering my community through inclusivity and meaningful open dialogue. I believe substantive change occurs when there is collaboration and active participation. I aim for a career that would help people understand their environment better and encourage accountability, whether that is through direct environmental management or through improving policy.
