I have been a psychotherapist for the past 22 years and am currently training to become a psychoanalyst. Prior to becoming a therapist I had a successful career as a visual artist, exhibiting paintings, photographs, and multi-media installations in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and London. In 2003, I created Luminous Psyche, a psychoanalytic film series based on the work of international director Max Ophuls which was held at the Seattle Art Museum. This was followed by a second series, also called Luminous Psyche, in 2005 focused on the work on Italian director Bernardo Bertolucci. In July, 2009, I will be presenting a paper on the Polish sculptor Magdalena Abakanowicz at the International Psychoanalytic Association biennial congress in Chicago.Specialties: In my practice, I work with adults, older adolescents and couples. In terms of theoretical interests, I hope to specialize in the intersection of psychoanalysis and the arts.
