Led the the team of consumer science managers and sensory staff for McVitie's and global Baked snacks, putting the consumer at the heart of our decision making process for innovation, renovation and capability projects. Responsible for identifying and developing superior consumer insights and holistic product sensory, leading to product models, product optimisation, seamless product changes and new claims. Strategic partner for R&D and Marketing. Supported the global McVitie’s team in the creation of a global brand house and global comms campaign through fresh technical, sensory and consumer insights. Responsible for transforming our sensory capabilities through facility improvement, team development, improved ways of working and improved panelist satisfaction. In November 2014, the UK based snacking company United Biscuits was acquired by Turkey’s leading biscuits and confectionary group Yıldız Holding, making the group the third largest biscuits manufacturer in the world. In 2016, the group started reorganisation of its global brands: DeMet’s, Godiva, United Biscuits and Ülker, under the pladis umbrella, forming a new global business with $5.2bn annual revenue and 26,000 employees. The ambition is to leverage the combined power of the new business to become the global leader in biscuits and confectionary using the brands of McVitie’s, Godiva and Ülker globally.pladis produces chocolates, biscuits and all types of confectionery in 13 countries with 36 factories under more than 300 brands.
