Started off as a temp worker for a changeover project of more than 1000 devices in an active hospital. Once the project was complete I was brought on full time as a member of the IT team. Our responsibilities include servicing all devices as well as being the hands of the other departments (Network, InfoSec, Epic, etc).

♠ Equipment tech | Nextech | June 2021- current: I repaired and maintained all the small appliances (refrigeration), medium and low temp coolers, ice machines, hvac units (aaons), gas equipment, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, security, and general facilities. This has been a great opportunity to practice multiple new skill sets. ♦ I was responsible for maintaining all systems within the store with little to no outside contract help. Our team independently maintained multiple group chats to act as each other’s support system.♦ We had a plan for any failure with a supply line (including warehouse stock) of parts. Our distribution method while being funny was very effective.

♠ HVAC Tech | Quiktrip |March 2020-April 2022: Installed refrigeration and hydronic equipment in apartments and commercial buildings but also worked with the boilers/chillers that fed them, since my past 5 years had almost entirely been service this was a great opportunity to expand my skill set with equipment installation. ♦ I was out of my element here, so I learned to think in a more practical fashion and focused on delivering results.♦ This was the first job I had serious compatibility issues with a team. To complete jobs I had to navigate murky waters and learn “advanced” problem resolution skills.

♠ HVAC Tech | TDIndustries | June 2018-March 2020: Started as a Tech 1, my responsibilities included maintaining equipment and customer relations at various sites. I also took service calls where I would diagnose and then repair package units, split systems, water cooled heat pumps, fan coil units, mini-split systems and much more. I've installed humidity control systems, done preventative maintenance on boilers as well as chillers/cooling towers, and have experience diagnosing and repairing furnaces. While working for TD I've moved to Tech level 2 and continued going to training provided by local vendors. ♦ This was the first position where I was free to “do some damage”. I quickly gained experience and increased my education with additional classes, by the end I was on track to become a tech 3 before my second year was up.♦ While I was hired to the HVAC department I volunteered to help the plumbing, electrical, construction, refrigeration, and special projects crews on many occasions.

- Union HVAC apprentice | Leading Edge Mechanical | Oct 2016-May 2018: Started as an apprentice where I was first put in a construction (installer) position. The more I became familiar with the refrigeration cycle, the more service calls I got to assist with, working on mostly medium/low temp kitchen equipment.

- Union Helper | Braconier | 2015 - Oct 2016: Started as a helper who delivered supplies and helped on various jobs ranging from residential plumbing to commercial HVAC.
