During my internship with OIM, I have become very familiar with zero emission vehicles, regulatory processes, and environmental and transportation policy. I have also had the opportunity to work on an array of electrification projects, including: expanding Colorado’s electric vehicle (EV) charging network, creating EV-specific safety materials for traffic incident management (TIM) programs, and conducting research for incentive programs to acquire medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. Additionally, I managed the State of Colorado’s submission to the national FHWA Alternative Fuel Corridors program from start to finish, served as a project coordinator for the Can Do Colorado Telework and Revitalizing Main Streets grants, and developed an off-grid charging concept to bring EV charging to rural locations throughout Colorado. Further tasks included developing maps to track Colorado's battery electric bus and charging infrastructure deployments using ArcMap Online and ArcGIS Pro, as well as creating guides and reports using Adobe Suite products.

Greater Denver Area

At McCool Development Solutions, I was tasked with providing numerous services related to small town planning. Throughout my time at McCool, I gained valuable experience assisting my co-workers in writing code for various municipalities, researching planning initiatives around the country to relay to clients, creating useful graphics to help support and better explain reports, and drafting and formatting documents and guides to assist small town planning efforts. In addition to this, I also assisted clients to expedite permits for numerous developers around the city, state, and country. Performing this job taught me what is needed in order to login and receive permits, and helped me build relationships with permit reviewers with the City of Denver.

Albuquerque, New Mexico Area

At Colliers International, I worked as a Research Analyst where I evaluated and recorded commercial market trends within the Albuquerque metropolitan area. My job consisted of using these market trends to create quarterly reports that were sent out to our brokers and clients to illustrate the area's commercial strengths and weaknesses. Other duties that I had as a Research Analyst consisted of developing comp reports for brokers, updating and maintaining an extensive commercial database, and creating our firm's first Albuquerque MSA report. This job not only educated me regarding real estate and land use practices, but it also gave me valuable office experience and taught me about the importance of coordination and communication.

As a student office assistant, I primarily worked with the Accounting Coordinator. My duties included auditing patent attorney invoices, scanning and organizing invoices into a database, and data entry on payment information. I was also tasked with putting together materials for quarterly report meetings and making sure supplies were fully stocked throughout the office. Through this job, I learned a lot about office management and prioritizing day-to-day activities. I also gained valuable organizational experience that has been key in subsequent jobs and classroom assignments.
