GroWings is the community that I've always wanted and needed as a Lone Soldier - helping overcome uncertainties and creating opportunities for each other so that a lone soldier will never feel alone.To give lone soldiers a fair chance at any opportunities for success in their lives, they first need their basic needs taken care of. Right now, there are lone soldiers that cannot afford a place to live or food to eat and truly feel alone in this country, without any family to turn to for help at a moment’s notice. And it isn’t that help doesn’t exist. It’s that access to that help can seem and be so far out of reach.Because we can identify the lone soldiers among our different communities, we are connecting them to the help that already exists:✅We find them additional subsidies for already discounted services - including rent, groceries, and apartment fees. ✅We surround them with others that are going through the same things so they know that they’re never alone. ✅And we get them acclimated in this country - before, during, AND AFTER their service - connecting them to relevant NPOs and providing them with services that set them up for success in Israel.

The belief among real estate investors that a property, street, neighborhood, city, country, even region, will increase in its' perceived value, and with it their investment's value, for many, is often the determining factor as to whether they take the chance based on their calculated intuition. Investing into a real estate project, particularly one with a social impact core, is a decision made not solely on the investment details presented, but more so, the developer or deal sponsor's investment structure and strategy to increase the demand among renters as well as the eventual buyer. Impact Investing is a way for our society to make progress in bridging the opportunity gaps and removing barriers of entry among underrepresented and inherently disadvantaged communities and their ability to pursue self-determination and success in Israeli society. While impact refers to accomplishing positive change, it in no way requires a tradeoff between impact and financial returns. The investment opportunity I created aims to demonstrate how a social-impact strategic approach can yield higher returns both on a financial as well as social level due to the unique supporting strategy which acts as a catalyst for the investment and generates a positive awareness and societal support for the concept.

If the army taught me anything, it's that persistency is key. Take two scenarios:1. There's a target and everyone is told their individual role in reaching that target. Step-by-step, mark-by-mark. 2. There's a mission and everyone is told the goal of that mission. If you know the end goal, it doesn't matter how you get there, as long as you get there. The second scenario is how a team succeeds in their mission. You have to think bigger than just you. The world doesn't only need leaders -- at the right times in life, you also need to be a smart follower. As a proud zionist, I became a lone soldier, which exposed me to a deep love that can only grow from hardships - hardships that are shared by your unit, your team, your second family.
