I adjust and alter photographs and illustrations to help designers complete layouts and to satisfy editorial changes. This includes simple photoshop tasks such as silhouetting images, color correction, and bleed extensions but also includes more complicated tasks to change the content of photographs and, more commonly, illustrations. Common changes to illustrations that I am asked to make are to change the apparent age of a character, make a character's appearance more consistent from image to image, and make a character's proportions more naturalistic.I also simplify layouts in InDesign by properly combining tiled or overlaid components to reduce the complexity of InDesign files to be provided to the client.

Skidmore College, Art Department

On campus job working in the art department's print room to help students make art prints from photos and other digital media.I was never formally trained for this job as the previous print room operator left abruptly. Despite this I was able to learn enough to make high quality prints for other students.In the print room I used a 44" Colorburst 9800 printer, two 24" Colorburst 7800 printers, and an Epson Stylus Photo R2880 as well the Colorburst RIP software with the larger printers and a variety of different papers.
