After I came to the realization that my combined career batting average of .250 in little league and high school would not translate to a major league contract, the next logical course of action seemed to be furthering my education. Coincidentally, deciding to attend the Clark Honors College (CHC) at the University of Oregon has provided me many opportunities to do so. While the CHC has prepared me for many aspects of my future professional career, the problem-solving skills along with frequent encouragement to think outside the box, are among the most important that I have learned during my time in school. Just as the CHC prepared me with certain professional skills, my major research in International Studies has allowed me to pursue my passion for promoting peace and empathy in both large and small communities. I truly enjoy pursuing this passion, and searching for ways to instill peace and empathy in my daily life and surroundings is always a both challenging and rewarding. This passion in combination with my global studies have only increased my interests in the global community as well and I am always seeking to promote cultural competency between myself and peers, as well as my community as a whole. In my time at Nulia as a Digital adoption specialist, I have been able to use many of these skills to promote a mentality of digital adoption to our clients, making them feel comfortable using new technology. In this start-up environment, many of my aforementioned skills and interests are able to be utilized frequently, and with tangible results coming from them. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you share any of these ideas or think I could be of any use to you or your organization.
