I have over two years of work experience, each position requiring me to be able to handle differing fast-paced environments.My most recent position is a Medicare Customer Service Representative. I have to answer the majority of questions about benefits, pharmacy claims, medical claims, and more. I have recently been selected to assist with training a new hire class due to my high performance and call score levels. This is also because management recognizes I may have potential for useful leadership, training, and mentorship skills. My 2nd most recent experience was in an Emergency Department. I learned to be able to take phone calls, handle high-stress situations, deal with experiencing trauma, and adapt to constantly changing circumstances. I required the skills: attention to detail, great computer skills, and also great skills in patient and team interaction. My 2nd job was working at a dementia home. I had to take on a heavy workload by myself, be extremely responsible at independent work, and also be very timely in my assistance to the residents. I gained the skills: Being on time with required and constantly changing duties, empathy, compassion, and vigilance. My 1st job was working on an organic farm. I had to weed, plant, harvest, clean, and package foods. I also had to handle animals and do various random jobs around the farm. I led a few crews as I was considered to be responsible enough to manage them by myself. Some skills I learned: Management of a group of people, determination to fulfill orders before deadlines, and also precision. Being a recent graduate from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, I have important remote experience doing coursework from home. I also completed independent research on how strategy games like chess can benefit different people such as adults with dementia, the incarcerated, children, and with general learning.
