At the request of Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer, I again took a leave of absence to lead strategy and external communications on behalf of Senate Democrats attempting to stop a Supreme Court Nomination. In this instance it was the nomination ofJudge Amy Coney Barrett to the seat vacated by Ruth Bader Gisnburg.

I served on the Executive Team and oversaw the communications, government affairs and community relations teams responsible for communicating and influencing the public, elected officials, community groups, and reporters. I played a leadership role in the development and execution of the legislative and media strategy that resulted in passage of congestion pricing, a first-in-the-nation measure to reduce congestion and raise revenue for mass transit

100 Resilient Cities was a $175m organization incubated and funded by the Rockefeller Foundation to build urban resilience to a wide range of challenges. I led the creation and implementation of the organizations global external affairs and influence strategies, as well as oversaw communications and political strategies in one-hundred cities across the globe. I served on the Executive Team and helped grow the organization from ten employees to nearly 120. I also led key special projects, including our international urban technology summit series and long-term Hurricane Maria recovery efforts in Puerto Rico.

While on leave from the Rockefeller Foundation, I led strategy and external communications on behalf of Senate Democrats attempting to stop the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Brett Kavinaugh.

The Democratic Policy and Communications Center (DPCC), led by Senator Charles E. Schumer, was the central office that determined legislative and media strategy for Democratic caucus, I served on the senior staff, providing strategic advice to Senator Schumer, as as well as designing and organizing media events for Democratic Senators in Washington and their home states.

I developed and executed Senator Schumer’s short and long term communications strategy for Upstate New York, securing frequent and favorable issue and political coverage from over 75 New York media outlets.

I was the primary liaison to New York community and business leaders and sole staffer accompanying the Senator on all trips in New York State, coordinating press coverage and traveling logistics
