Senior Mechanical Engineer

I have a particular focus on analytical and thermofluidic engineering. I commonly apply first principles and industry standard tools (e.g ANSYS Mechanical and Fluent) to solve analytical problems, simulating and validating steady-state & transient, liner & non-linear, laminar and turbulent scenarios.This role involves applying my experience in project managing with several methodologies including AGILE. I use my knowledgeable in all stages of project timelines including costing, planning, budgeting and reporting to stakeholders to provide maximum value to clients. I have act as technical lead responsible for delivery project building custom analytical tools to predict the thermal performance and KPI outcome of new product lines unlocking new value stream for clients.The impact of sustainability on product development is a particular interest to me. I am applying tools such as Life Cycle Assessments to the product development roadmap to assess the quantitative impact.I continue to polish my communication skills with particular ability to communicate technical information to a variety of stakeholders.

I was a key member of multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver innovative engineering solutions to a range of markets including consumer, healthcare, agriculture, and energy. Some project highlights include; Linking fluid model of bioreactor to digital twin and leading testing team for an automated robotic chemistry platform. This role gave me the opportunity to contribute to multiple patents in subjects such as novel microbiology hardware development.This role refined my rapid prototyping skills including design for 3D printing (FDM, MJP, SLA & DLP) and machining am I achieve SolidWorks Certification in Assembly, Surface and Multibody part modelling. I grew my skills in experimental design including mechanical, fluidic and pneumatic test rig design as well as test plan design, such as V&V testing.Outreach officer building new pathways to deliver lesson plans and act as a mentor for young school children interested in STEM. Planned and orchestrated an outreach day involving ~40 children experiencing all aspects of the business. Involved in organizing a work experience week specifically for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
