Onboarded with the Office of the Harbormaster. I assist in office administration, special projects including grants and SOPs, and supporting the operations of the outer harbor moorings.

I manage the administrative aspects of this organization to support the Learning Journey, a group comprised of conservation organizations dedicated to building trust and relationships with Indigenous Tribes. Other tasks include using ArcGIS Pro to create maps to inform conversation amongst partners, creating guidance documents on subjects relating to partnering with Indigenous Tribes on land preserves, supporting working groups within the Learning Journey, and organizing events.

Leading the Change! believes in pushing the needle towards gender equity in sailing by creating more opportunities for women to be leaders in the sport, specifically in offshore racing. We believe in developing the next generation of offshore racers. We also strive to grow ocean empathy and increase community awareness of the environmental issues facing our oceans.

Onboarded with the Office of the Harbormaster to assist with a grant to sustainably discard of derelict vessels to mitigate environmental damage and navigational hazards; collaborates with the Harbormaster to create a marina user satisfaction survey and tracked engagement and responses to ensure office accountability.

I copyedited book manuscripts. Throughout this process, I maintained an effective working relationship with my client by understanding their expectations, providing comprehensive edits, and improving overall readability for publication. As a writing coach, my primary focus was in creative nonfiction essay writing and social justice oriented projects. I coached clients through writing book proposals before pitching to literary agents. I also ghostwrote book proposals for nonfiction books in various subject areas.I worked with young writers to grow their creative writing skills through an intensive curriculum.

Performed data management; supervised and trained new volunteers; contributed to policy conversations about innovative marine life protection solutions; assisted in whale disentanglements; photographed marine mammals for the national ID network.

As an Intern for the Department of the Director, I improved workflow efficiency by providing executive-level administrative support, facilitating event planning and production, and conducting legal research. I also worked cross-functionally by assisting the Legal, Internal Investigations, and External Investigations departments on a need basis.Here are some of my key highlights from this experience: -Organized and moderated a panel discussion on the benefits of recruiting from historically women’s colleges in government organizations. -Served as the focal point for affinity groups in the planning of ‘Know your Rights’ brown-bag session for employees identifying in the LGBTQ+ spectrum. -Bolstered on-the-job learning by shadowing the Director and Associate Director during policy implementation and planning meetings. -Improved meeting preparation for two directors by condensing lengthy reports into concise summaries within time-sensitive deadlines.
