I have had previous engineering experience through previous events, shadowing sessions, and projects. I was able to participate in viewing a aerospace panel at NASA and speak in front of them to share my opinions and questions about the future of their projects. Along with that, I was also able to shadow a NASA engineer to see what tasks they preform on a daily basis. Using those experiences I was able to make a capstone project, by using the engineering design process I was able to select a problem and create a solution for it. This gave me experience prototyping, designing, creating, problem solving, and pulling all of my work together into a professional presentation. Along with that project I also participated in Lean Six Sigma and received my Yellow Belt. I achieved this by observing a process in my every day life and creating a new process that is more efficient. I took my research and data gathered to design and prototype a new process, which I then tested to prove that it made improvements to the original process. I took all my data and presented it in front of a board of professionals to receive feedback and there I was awarded my Yellow Belt Certificate.
