As a member of the volunteer support team, I supported 88+ trainees and volunteers as a mentor, trainer, and cultural interpreter. I founded the Youth in Development Working Group, that is moving forward with 16 members, a youth sports guide, and multiple projects in progress. I created and instituted the annual Counterpart Excellence Award to solidify Peace Corps Colombia's commitment to partner with and celebrate the members of the communities in which we serve. As the manager of the social media team, we made substantial growth on two major platforms while respectfully representing Colombian communities and the work of volunteers.

As the co-director of Talleres por la Paz, I worked in tandem with a community partner to develop a project based on Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) standards. By uniting schools, local government, and international and national nonprofits, we empowered educators and community members by facilitating trainings that allowed them to build skills of empathy, conflict resolution, and teamwork among youth.

In partnering with four local teachers at I.E. San Luis Beltrán de Manatí, we successfully incorporated social advocacy and technology skills into a comprehensive English curriculum for 300+ students. As the 1st president of the Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D) committee, I directed the focus of the group, led the creation of the committee website and oversaw a grant project.

I prepared and designed interactive English classes for groups of 30+ elementary students per week, while engaging students in activities through games and stories to develop linguistic intercultural and critical thinking skills.

By implementing art and music with the English curriculum for students ages 4-17, students gained an enhanced interest in the subjects and overall improvement of their school grades that guaranteed program sustainability.

I expanded the Democratic base of 100+ voters through grassroots community outreach and raised funds of $5.6K for the party through donations sponsoring all campaign activities.

I conducted appreciative interviews with the farmers of the sugar cane alcohol producing cooperative, CADO, to create the first cost-production analysis for the group, leading the group to negotiate higher prices with clients, such as the Body Shop.
