Business Developer at Norinnova, the Technology Transfer Office of UiT. I have several years of academic and industry experience working with IT in general and AI in particular, before pivoting to a business development role at Norinnova after finishing my MS in Computer Science at UiT.I have a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication engineering from one of India's top engineering institutes - IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. I later got selected for a scholarship-supported Master's degree in Computer Science at UiT- The Arctic University of Norway. During this time, I have worked as a research assistant and a research intern with the 3DNanoscopy group and the Bio-AI lab at UiT, which resulted in 2 paper publications in high-impact journals. I later did my Master's thesis for over a year on the application of Deep Learning for precancerous lesions' detection in chronic IBD patients, under the supervision of Anne Håkansson (UiT), Peter Thelin Schmidt (Karolinska Institute) and Thomas de Lange (University of Gothenburg) in a multidisciplinary project involving a group of doctors, nurses, colonoscopy experts and researchers from Norway and Sweden. Part of the work done on my thesis also contributed to another paper publication in the conference KES 2024.During my time in Tromsø, I have also worked with 2 companies including a startup at Norinnova, on the industry-focused application of AI. This work focused mostly on Computer Vision, with my work contributing to the image classification model and data-processing pipeline used by the Unifractal app. My work at Capia also showed some really promising results on the application of object detection models to track and geo-locate marine creatures in underwater drone footage. With my particular background, my business developer portfolio focuses on projects dealing primarily with AI, med-tech, microscopy, IT and electronics.
