About Maya Patterson

I have a range of experiences in clinical and bench research at the intersection of chemistry and medicine. Currently, I am investigating the relationship between obstetric healthcare utilization and maternal/neonatal outcomes in pregnant individuals diagnosed with substance use disorder. I work closely with this patient population and have developed profound compassion and understanding of the psychosocial risk factors they face. I am personally passionate about improving access to resources for those experiencing homelessness and value my time serving on the national board of Bridge Beyond, a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
