Researched and developed a cell culturing protocol for Primary Human Skeletal muscle cells and flow cytometry approach for surface staining these cells to look for the interested myogenically active population. Used flow cytometry techniques to compare 12 oligonucleotides between an external and in-house provider. Practiced cell culturing and cryopreservation techniques with several adherent and suspension cell lines. Analyzed flow cytometry data using FCS Express, practiced light microscopy techniques, isolated PBMCs from whole blood samples.

•Ran my own experiments monitoring fruit fly sleep activity and life span using DAM (Drosophila Activity Monitor) systems. Filtered and analyzed data using tidyverse packages, such as dplyr and ggplot2 in R. •Using R-based statistical analysis on datasets containing over 77,500 observations and 650 variables. Mainly used various tidyverse packages to determine key biological and environmental factors that contribute to the cognitive decline in dogs. Worked as part of the Dog Aging Project.

Worked on protein purifications, bacterial cloning, DNA work using gel electrophoresis, bioassays, ethanolamine purifications, and titrations. Purified 600mL of ethanolamine to isolate molecule that activates pipA gene expression in various Pseudomonas strains using gfp tagging. Worked under Senior Research Scientist. Lab focuses on plant-bacteria interactions and identifying the specific plant molecule that triggers bacterial signaling.
