The Boston Harbor Women of Color Coalition (BHWOCC) is a collaborative, solutions-driven, supportive group of people who identify as women of color who work on or for the Boston Harbor, the Boston Harbor Islands, and/or work to get our communities engaged in green and blue spaces.The coalition is an employee-driven initiative founded in May 2021 by Malene Welch, Joye Williams, Maya Smith, and Nikki Tabron, four Black women who work at Boston Children’s Museum, Save the Harbor/Save the Bay, and Thompson Island Outward Bound respectively.

The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the coordination and implementation of the Department of Youth Engagement & Employment's outreach services, projects and initiatives for our youth engagement and youth employment efforts. This role is responsible for engaging youth constituents and connecting them to programs, resources, and opportunities and for coordinating all outreach projects & materials.

As a Youth Employment Assistant for Boston Centers for Youth and Families Division of Youth Engagement and Employment, it is my mission to connect the young people of Boston with meaningful employment opportunities. By working directly with over 200 non-profit organizations, our team has the privilege to connect young people to life changing professional experiences. When I began working with The Division of Youth Engagement and Employment, I was privileged with the task of creating an annual report that represents the achievements of the office's Employment Program from 2015. The report is a culmination of information, youth testimonies, and media from the year. Creating the report challenged and strengthened my creativity, project management, research skills, and attention to detail.

Assisting in the Office of Disability Services allows me to provide direct support to differently abled members of Suffolk's community. This position includes various administrative tasks as well as aiding to the academic achievement of the students we serve.

Corresponded with constituents of the 18th Essex precinct of Massachusetts, population of 38.4 thousand residents. Kept the Senator up to date with local achievements, honors, and important events. Attended caucuses as a note taker for the Senator
