I am a user experience research and design consultant.Working as a UX designer allows me to work alongside like minded people who want to make a positive impact to people's interaction with technology.I have worked with many clients across a range of industries - from financial corporations to heath informatics, community services to consumer utilities. Delivering usability research, persona creation and UX design for these projects following User Centred Design principles. Having experience across both design and research gives me a broad understanding of the needs of both roles, and helps me to make the biggest impact to the team irrespective of my role at the time. For example, as a researcher, my design experience helps me to know when to ask more questions to give designers more actionable insights. When I'm the designer, I can articulate the underlying problem I am trying to solve and work with researchers formulate the right research questions to address.UX for me, is all about understanding people, and helping them to be understood.
