As a long-time MDUSD parent, community volunteer, and resident, I'm committed to ensuring our school district prioritizes responsible decision-making, transparency, and student needs. My journey began as a young immigrant in 1976, overcoming language barriers while my parents worked tirelessly. I graduated from SF State in 1993 and moved to Concord in 2002 to raise my three children, all educated in Trustee Area 5. I've dedicated thousands of hours volunteering in our schools and founded a non-profit supporting MDUSD students. Now, I'm ready to take the next step: running for office.My priorities are: Building Community: where every student and family feels accepted and engaged Mental Health & Wellbeing: for students, teachers, and staffEnhanced Career Pathways: to local apprenticeships and higher educationI've earned endorsements from the Building Trades Council, Contra Costa Labor Council, and Diablo Valley Democratic Club.
