As a Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft, I spend most of my time working directly with customers to help them set up & manage Microsoft 365 and Power Platform in their organization. I meet with customers to determine their requirements for specific scenarios. Often, I research different options and present my findings with proof-of-concepts during a meeting or videos with the customer. I have also led Power Platform and SharePoint training classes to over 200 Microsoft customers. I love helping people learn, and I take pride in being able to share my experiences and best practices with people in my classes.

I partner with customers to deliver training courses and build customized training for Microsoft 365 and Power Platform. Most of my training is delivered using Microsoft Teams, and often includes training materials that I create and maintain. In addition to teaching, I also consult with Microsoft customers all over North America on Modern Workplace & Power Platform administration & governance.

Part of the project team that implemented Office 365 for all of Spectrum Health (+33,000 employees), and a lead analyst on an awesome team that supports most of the Office 365 applications. We migrated our Jive & SharePoint 2010 intranets to Office 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) and I was the technical lead for both projects. I also created the provisioning solution for our tenant and setup external file sharing so we could end our contract with Box.com. Occasionally I was asked to work on special projects like the Care Coordination application in Teams and the Crisis Communication application from Microsoft.

Managed a staff of 14 employees and contractors on the Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) team that support more than 40 enterprise applications (Infor Lawson, API Healthcare, and PeopleFluent) with business partners in Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain, and Legal/Risk/Compliance. Accountable for the oversight of staff, budget and leadership for EBS applications, resource assignments, issue resolution, and initiatives for the organization.

Supervised a staff of 12 employees on the Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) team that supported several enterprise applications (Jive, SharePoint, Confluence, Infor Lawson and API Healthcare) with business partners in Human Resources, Finance, Corporate Communications, Supply Chain, and Legal/Risk/Compliance. Accountable for the oversight of staff, leadership for EBS applications, resource assignments, issue resolution, and initiatives for the organization.

Helped the Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) team navigate several leadership transitions, and was the ScrumMaster for sprints that were used to prioritize feature enhancements for EBS applications.

As a member of the Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) team I supported several enterprise collaboration tools (SharePoint, Jive, and Confluence), and was the project manager to upgrade the intranet from Jive 7 to Jive 8.

Lead architect for SharePoint and Office 365, and technical lead for several business application upgrades. I also work with Microsoft Azure, Nintex Forms & Workflow, InfoPath, and SQL Server. Very comfortable meeting with business people to determine requirements, plan projects, and design solutions.

As a consultant I managed web servers, customized a SharePoint site hosted by fpweb.net, and created websites using WordPress. The WordPress sites were highly customized to meet the customer’s requirements.

As a consultant I was the Lead architect for SharePoint in the Animal Health division of Pfizer. Our team was an internal services provider, and developers used our SharePoint site to automatically provision websites, SharePoint sites, and databases. I worked with internal & external developers to support custom SharePoint solutions.

As a consultant I managed web servers, SharePoint sites, and web applications for Steelcase. I also wrote some internal web applications to track assets, and trained business people how to use SharePoint.

Pharmacia was acquired by Pfizer, and I was part of the Windows Server Team for North America. Most of my time was spent working on projects, installing & supporting applications, resolving help desk tickets, managing projects, and on-call support in a highly regulated environment.

As a consultant I had a short contract at Herman Miller, but most of my time was spent at Pharmacia on the Windows Server Team. I coordinated server orders, installations, and repairs with Compaq/HP technicians and internal teams in a highly regulated environment. I also installed server operating systems, resolved help desk tickets, and trained other team members.

I managed a project to install a Novell network, email, and internet access for the company. I also managed accounts & mailboxes, setup printers, print queues, installed network hubs & switches, network cables, and maintained the company’s website.

I supported a small Windows network, registered the company domain with InterNIC, and maintained the company website. I also wrote software programs to reduce the amount of time I spent preparing quotes and estimates for customers by 50%. I designed and implemented the CAD system, vinyl cutting system, and defined company standards for engineering drawings.
