Reporting to the Work Winning Director, I am responsible for driving Galliford Try Facilities Management market penetration through effective engagement with customers and other stakeholders within both the public and private sectors within the construction and facilities management industries.Day to day this is achieved by taking the lead on opportunity profiling and selection through to the management of bid production from start to finish, ensuring that bid win themes are appropriately campaigned through a well-crafted value proposition. A key part of this role is to effectively engage with various stakeholders to ensure that bid text reflects our value proposition, the bid is progressing in line with the bid budget, and importantly exceeds the customers expectations.

I was responsible for responding to tender requests for facilities management services within the retail, corporate, education and healthcare sectors ranging in value from £250,000 to £4,000,000 per annum. This role involved liaising with potential clients to ensure that their business needs are fully understood and met through our innovative proposition. Ensuring that the proposal is accurate and in line with the company’s service strategy and that the Estimating team hds costed the contract in line with the proposal being offered.

Key responsibilities include:• To lead, manage and develop cost estimates for major FM bids, technically and commercially in accordance with company ethics, procedures and guidelines• Ensure that all the necessary suppliers and benchmark sources are co-ordinated and managed in the most efficient and effective way to maximise the accuracy of the pricing.• Develop supplier packs to distribute internally and externally as required for services to be priced.• Create appropriate pricing strategy based on SGP pricing bids and then engaging with suppliers.• Liaise with clients and stakeholders, representing the company at site visits and other meetings, being prepared to input into presentations to prospective clients and SGP’s senior management.• Develop a pro-active and positive relationship with internal technical team and externally through SGP supply chain.• Work with Category Managers to target potential suppliers to ensure SGP present best value services to potential clients.• Scrutinise prices received internally and externally with Bid Manager to ensure accuracy and best value. • Ensure all relevant internal stakeholders are consulted and kept abreast of commercial terms submitted to clients.• Complete client and SGP cost models, working closely with SGP finance team to ensure accuracy.

Reviewed the then current planned process to identify areas of improvement to ensure that planned maintenance was delivered within strict timelines, in many cases to ensure legal compliance for approximately the then 860 pubs owned and managed by Punch. This involved communicating with contractors ensure that they are attending sites and are providing all paperwork to high a standard on time. Along with a technical advisor I was also responsible for assisting Regional Field Managers in identifying any issues that may have arose from the initial visits so that they may be rectified before unit failure or before injury occured to a member of staff or the public

Responsible for auditing the reactive and remedial maintenance work carried out by contractors on approximately 280 stores owned by A.S. Watson. This initially involved approving or rejecting repair requests on their individual merits to prevent frivolous spending by store managers. I would then visit the store and check the quality and amount of work carried out by the contractors to ensure that the client was getting value for money. I also liaised closely with the A.S. Watson Area Managers to resolve any maintenance issues they may have had.
