RISOME promotes fair & balanced agricultural systems that allow farmers to live decently while ensuring the sustainable management of their ecosystems.Building on a decade of work with smallholder farmers in the Global South, we work with industry players throughout the entire agricultural value chain, from farmers to brands, to support farmers’ economic and climatic resilience.RISOME works with a diversity of stakeholders from the cocoa, coffee and textile industries through:- Consulting: field diagnostics, field operation designs, support on internalizing sustainability operations, sustainability sourcing strategies and technical studies.- Design and implementation of tailor-made operations with farmers and producer organizations.Our areas of expertise include: agroforestry, climate resilient agriculture, living income, crop diversification, access to market, farmer organization support, climate prospective, standards and regulations (ex: EUDR).

Direction of operations for the Africa region: 9 countries (Ethiopia, Uganda, Madagascar, Kenya, Senegal, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Sierra Leone), 10 ongoing projects, 8,000+ annual beneficiaries, direct management of a team of 9, 70+ field staff, 4m € annual budget (x7 vs. 2016), key commodities: coffee, cocoa & vanilla, field travels: 40% of working time- Design of new projects: holistic feasibility studies of ecosystem restoration and livelihoods improvement community projects (ex: agroforestry, sustainable agricultural trainings, improved cookstoves, beekeeping) & project design (local set up, budgets, contracts, planning)- Management of operations: hiring and training of local teams, field data analysis, regular follow-up on operations and reporting- Design of local long-term strategies for project autonomy: coordination of market studies & impact monitoring studies, design of revenue-generating activities, implementation of complementary activities (ex: environmental education)- Coordination of services providers (researchers, technical experts, artists)- Coordination of carbon certifications- Audit of third-party projects- Business development: identification of co-funding opportunities, co-lead of commercial proposals, client-facing, management of client visits- Human resources: recruitment, onboarding, training, and management of a multicultural senior team located in 5 different countries

- Business development: design of commercial proposals - Key account management for agro-industrial and cosmetic companies: desk reviews, budgets, contracts, strategy action plan, coordination with operation teams, reporting, client-facing

- Conducted a three-month field study in the Macizo de Peñas Blancas protected area through interviews with coffee producers, local leaders and public authorities.Multidisciplinary approach: sociology of organizations and livelihood approaches in order to analyze practices impacting the provision of ecosystem services.- Elaborated an institutional mapping, described and analysed practices, and suggested levers for improving agroforestry systems.

- Analysed short-listed applications further to the Innovation Facility for the Private Sector (FISP) call for proposals. Evaluated projects and presented findings to the FFEM Steering Committee for final selection. Processed 12 applications regarding renewable energies, waste-to-energy and agroforestry development projects or investment funds. Total amount of funds allocated: EUR8 million.- Evaluated financial statements, structured beneficiaries’ projects, led anti-laundering procedures.- Coordinated actors, provided broad support to beneficiaries, facilitated feasibility studies.

- Established 12 research partnerships in South America (micro-finance institutions, NGOs, banks, federations) together with 3 institutional and logistical partnerships in France.- Conducted a six-month field study in Colombia, Peru and Argentina through interviews and focus groups with local beneficiaries and micro-insurance project managers.

- Coordinated relationships with online microcredit platforms in France, the US, and India.- Established partnerships with celebrities and product placement agencies. - Completed application files and wrote oral presentations for start-up competitions. Won two first prizes.- Organized an innovative brainstorming event for the launch of HumanoGames 1st video game involving 60 participants.

Antropia Scale Up Program: partnership between IIES (Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute of ESSEC Business School) and Edmond de Rothschild Foundations aiming at helping social entrepreneurs to scale up, in my case: Misericordia.- Development of the new social business plan.- Responsible for the strategic and technical analysis in order to prepare fundraising.- Analysis and development of the CSR strategy.

- Managed and developed relationships with private and public partners: French job-seekers agency, companies, trade fairs.- Monitored Search Engine Optimization (SEO), set up a web statistics process and conducted data collection and analysis.- Coordinated press and PR relationships and drafted communication supports
