RISOME promotes fair food systems, by considering environmental and socio-economic issues holistically. Building on a decade of work with smallholder farmers in the Global South, we work with industry players throughout the entire agricultural value chain, from farmers to brands. We believe it is critical to improve agricultural models and support farmers’ economic and climatic resilience. RISOME supports a diversity of stakeholders from the cocoa, coffee, and textile industries through: - Consulting: field diagnostics, field operation designs, support on internalizing sustainability operations, sustainability sourcing strategies and technical studies. - Design and implementation of tailor-made operations with farmers and producer organizations. Our areas of expertise include: agroforestry, climate resilient agriculture, Living Income, crop diversification, access to market, farmer organization support, climate prospective, EUDR.
