A personal project to help ensure fair and transparent elections in the United States.

Peer-to-peer car rental company. (Like Airbnb, but for cars.) This was a two-year test of the peer-to-peer car rental market in the suburbs of NYC—mostly Westchester and Fairfield counties. There were practically no rentals in 2020-21 due to the pandemic, so the trial period was extended to 2022.Results: • 1000+ rentals completed (across all platforms) • Demand was low. Turo, and the peer-to-peer car rental model in general, are not yet popular in the target areas. Most people weren't familiar with the company or even the concept. • The business is seasonal. Most rentals were booked during the Summer. During the Fall, Winter and Spring bookings were at a trickle. (During the off-season, the cars were rented to Uber and Lyft drivers.) Conclusion: With low demand and a long off-season, this is not a venture worth pursuing at this time. Renting the cars to Uber and Lyft drivers isn't a good alternative due to high maintenance and depreciation costs. This venture may be worth pursuing again once Turo is better-known.

A national staffing company specializing in programmers. Arrived to three years of losses and looming bankruptcy. A few months in, the COVID pandemic hit, worsening the crisis. Spent two years working with the team to turn things around. Mission accomplished. Left the company profitable and in overall excellent condition.

A software engineer specializing in web-based applications. Involved in building, expanding, upgrading and/or evaluating over 10,000 websites and apps. An expert in multiple web technologies, including CSS, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL and their related libraries and frameworks. Author of 3,000+ programming articles and solutions. Ranked 0.01% on Stack Overflow, a global community of 25 million coders.

An international awards program recognizing excellence in web design and development. Expanded IMA from one country to 30+. Built an evaluation system that enables judges to score design, content, usability, functionality, navigation, user experience, standards and accessibility.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to "cleaning up corruption in Albany and establishing more open, honest and effective government". SNY focused primarily on fair elections. In particular, it advocated for replacing the practice of partisan redistricting (i.e., gerrymandering) with an independent commission.

Bid to replace Democrat Sen. Chuck Schumer. Lost in the primary.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising money for various humanitarian causes in NYC. Organized and chaired 12 gala benefits that raised $2.5M. Recognized by Mayor Michael Bloomberg on June 22, 2002, with an award from the City of New York for ten years of "invaluable service".

9/11 firefighter running for Congress in Long Island. Responsibilities included strategy, fund-raising, speech writing, debate prep and day-to-day operations. Lost in the general.

Bid to replace Democrat Rep. Jerry Nadler. District covered Brooklyn and Manhattan. Endorsed by Mayor Rudy Giuliani and the New York Post. Campaign chairman was John Whitehead, former chairman of Goldman Sachs and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Lost in the general.

Software solutions for banks. Reported directly to CEO Sam Koo. Left to run for Congress.

First job out of college. Executive assistant to Bill Richter, investment banker and co-founder of Cerberus Partners, L.P. Primary responsibility was assisting Bill and Steve Feinberg with the launch of the new hedge fund. Tasks included research, writing, reviewing legal documents and government filings, raising capital, communications and client relations. Left over differences with Bill.

Waiter at an Italian restaurant for a couple of years during college.

Job while at NYU. Did music videos, fashion shows, voice overs, print and movie ads. (Fun fact: Worked several jobs with Vin Diesel. We played chess during lunch breaks.)
