As the technical lead for the HPE Scalable Compute Software project, I oversee the design, development and testing of software solutions that optimize the performance and efficiency of HPE servers. I also collaborate with other business units to support cloud computing initiatives and infrastructure security, ensuring that HPE delivers secure and reliable cloud services to its customers.

As the leader of the hypervisor team and Chief Engineer, I guided and supported other engineers on how to design and implement their work effectively. I also contributed code to develop key product features that enhanced the performance and reliability of our hypervisor platform. I defined the requirements for the CICD and UX teams in terms of performance and security. In addition, I was a co-inventor on several patents related to our hypervisor technology. For instance:• Hierarchical stalling strategies for handling stalling events in a virtualized environment• Associating working sets and threads• Resource Migration Negotiation• Handling Frequently Accessed PagesHPE acquired TidalScale's scalable compute technology on 12/16/2022.

As a co-founder, I collaborated with the leadership team to secure funding from seed, series A, series B, and strategic investors. I was responsible for our agile project management process, choosing and setting up some of our build tools and ensuring a "secure by design" approach for the development and maintenance of our product. I supervised all major product launches from alpha to 3.0. I created and deployed a sharded-lock mechanism that helped us surpass a critical TPCH performance benchmark, which directly resulted in more strategic investment.

Catbird developed and brought to market an award winning virtualization security product. I designed and executed the technology strategy, communicated the vision and value proposition, and led the product development road map. I worked closely with the CEO and VP of Sales to support business and sales growth, and with senior staff to ensure customer satisfaction and partner channel success.I also co-invented a patent on "Systems and methods for dynamic network security control and configuration", which provides a novel solution for securing virtualized environments.In this role I received endorsements from prominent figures in the industry, such as: • Greg Capella, Deputy Executive Director of DHS, who said: "Michael provided exceptionally valuable and deeply insightful assistance to us in understanding virtualization security issues and defining a methodology to help address these issues." • Chris Scheybeler, CTO/VP Engineering, who said: "Michael is the perfect role model for a CTO/Evangelist. Worked with DHS Stakeholders to develop a vendor neutral infrastructure plan and requirements for private cloud deployments.

I worked as an expert consultant with a strong background in data centers, networking, and Linux. I have participated in various projects and investigations that required digital forensics, security management, and forensic training. Some of my notable achievements are: • Assisted the prosecution in the case of “United States v. Robert S. Gordon” by providing evidence of fraud and money laundering through digital forensics. • Led enterprise security teams to design and implement security plans, standards, and practices that aligned with their business objectives and industry best practices. • Set up computer forensic labs and trained client staff on how to use forensic tools and techniques. • Served as a CISO for Agile Software Corp. and Network Appliance. • Conducted computer forensics for Cisco Systems, Inc. • Taught how to achieve “defense in depth”, “zones of control” and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

As the co-founder and CEO of a startup that developed a technology for resiliency and scale against DDOS attacks, I was responsible for leading the product vision and securing the initial funding. We also got accepted into the V3 incubator, where we received mentorship and support from experts in the field.

As the director of operations, sales, and technical services for the Western Region, I was responsible for managing the P&L and leading the growth strategy. Under my leadership, the region's revenue increased by 30x and achieved a 40% gross profit margin. I also played a key role in Predictive's successful IPO on October 27, 1999, which resulted in a market cap of over $2 billion.
