I taught Higher Education Law to doctoral candidates in the Education Administration program.

Serve as in-house Legal Counsel for the St. Louis Community College. Provide legal counsel to officers, campus presidents and other staff on various legal issues that arise on any of the campuses. I also handle certain administrative proceedings in-house and work with outside counsel on other litigation matters.

I served as legal counsel to the county government and the individual elected officials. I reviewed contracts, represented County and elected officials in litigation, drafted proposed ordinances, negotiated labor contracts, and represented various boards, including the Jefferson County Planning and Zoning Board. I also directed the process of creating the Jefferson County Municipal Court and served as the Court's first prosecuting attorney.

Managed a full felony caseload while also assisting the elected prosecutor in the day-to-day operations of the office. Oversaw attorney staff of 13 assistant prosecutors. Ran the child victim/sex offense unit for 2 1/2 years. Served on team that developed Jefferson County Drug Court. Served as lead attorney in over 20 felony jury trials.

Ran public defender office in Jefferson County. Supervised 2 attorneys and 2 support staff. Represented indigent persons charged with crimes in Jefferson County, and handled conflict cases in Franklin, Washington, St. Francois and Perry Counties. Served as lead atorney in 17 felony jury trials ranging from Murder 1st Degree to possession of drugs and weapons charges.
