As VP and CFO I oversee that all accounting functions and proper internal financial and operational policies are in place and implemented. I coordinate multiple departments in preparing the $5,000,000 annual budget in conjunction with the CEO and department managers. I prepare all monthly, quarterly, annual reports and forecasts for presentation to committees and Board Members. I schedule and oversee our annual financial audit, maintain corporate documents and ensure compliance with all appropriate reporting requirements for payroll, personnel, property, tax returns and filings. I oversee compliance and proper reporting of investments, pension and 401(k) plans and regularly review to ensure the association shows, properties and all related entities have appropriate insurances. I provide general management and budget oversight for the association’s technology resources. I work closely with the Facilities Manager and the I.T. Coordinator to ensure networks, servers, computers, software, phones, equipment, training and tech support are in place to meet needs of association and staff. I review, update and maintain appropriate personnel and operation policies, administer all human resource operations, record-keeping and implement appropriate hiring, training, evaluation, benefit and termination policies. I supervise association’s purchasing and contracting procedures to ensure the most economical and responsible use of funds for supplies and services. I serve as member of the association’s senior management team. I act as the necessary liaison and staff support to key committees and work with committee chairs to ensure HBA Board policies and plans are followed. I communicate the implementation of committee decisions, motions, and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.
